The New and Improved

Apple is the leading phone manufacturer. The iPhone was first launched in 2007 and was bulky and sluggish, while being revolutionary. As the years went by, the iPhone continued as innovative technology, with features like a voice activated personal assistant called Siri, a motion sensor allowing you to turn the phone sideways and rotate the display, and even apps.

When the iPhone was first introduced, it could only hold 1,000 songs, contain 4GB of storage, and had a 320 x 480 pixel resolution. It has evolved into now holding up to 16,000 songs, 64GB of storage, and a 1136 x 640 pixel resolution. The iPhone has revolutionized technology and the entire concept of the cell phone.

As you may know, the iPhone 6 is coming out soon, set to release on September 9th. It will include new features regarding the screen, display, and other aspects. Physically, the screen is made with a durable sapphire display as a test to see how customers will react to it. If the customers like the new screen, Apple will continue the sapphire screen. The iPhone already features parts with this display, like on the protective glass over the iPhone 5s camera sensor and the Touch ID home button. The sapphire display is so durable that when one tech magazine dragged a concrete cinderblock over the iPhone, no physical damage was seen.

Moreover, the iPhone 6 will feature either 4.7 inch or 5.5-inch display. The iPhone 5s only had a 4-inch display, so with the new screen, it appears that Apple is trying to compete with companies like Samsung and HTC with their massive screens that are comparable to the size of a tablet. Furthermore, while the iPhone 5s has straight sides, the iPhone 6’s sides will be rounded, a bit like the iPad Air and iPod touch.

In addition, it is rumored that the iPhone 6’s power button might be on the side of the device instead of on the top like it is in the iPhone 5s. With all these new features, it appears that Apple is focusing on making the iPhone more comfortable and easier to handle when calling and texting.

As for the specs, the iPhone 6 will include a 1704 x 960 pixel resolution, tripling the 5s’ display to provide a sharper image. The iPhone will also feature a CPU (Computer Processing Unit) with a dual-core 2GHz processor vs. the 5s’ dual-core 1.3GHz processor. With an entire jump of .7GHz, the iPhone will be increasingly quicker than previous iPhones. The camera on the iPhone will also be upgraded to 13-megapizel, as compared to the 5s’ 8-megapixel. Therefore, those pixilated iPhone selfies can be improved to high-quality selfies that make you appear like you actually have a clue what photography is. The up and coming iPhone 6 is ready to hit the markets with unbelievably quicker speeds, a stunning picture, and a thorough camera.

However, the iPhone 6 is still not the ideal, perfect phone. It lacks important aspects like all-day battery life. With my iPhone, I constantly find myself having to recharge it constantly because the battery life lacks. It also needs a large but not oversized screen. You already have phones like the Samsung Galaxy who feature an enormous screen size that pushes the boundaries between a phone and tablet, but a good phone size that isn’t excessive lacks from the iPhone.

With all its new features, the iPhone 6 will revolutionize the technology world with an entirely new display, look, and unbelievable specs. The iPhone will debut with reportedly high prices; it is anticipated to be flying off shelves.
