Area 51 Raid

Area 51 Raid

The one thing that has become immensely popular throughout the past few weeks, and
even months, is the Area 51 raid. Area 51 has been around for who knows how long, and is
known to be a highly classified United States Air Force facility that is located in the Nevada Test
and Training Range. People from all over the country and world have been curious wondering
what lies behind these walls and what secrets the government is keeping from us. Twitter,
Instagram, and many other social media platforms came up with the idea, that most people would
call genius, that the government, aliens, and whatever else lies behind the walls of Area 51 could
not stop us if everyone got together at the same time to raid it. There were so many different
memes that were created to build awareness for this matter so that more people would hopefully
join. There was a set date for the raid, which was Friday, September 20 of 2019. Many had
signed up for this, but soon after it was cancelled.
This raid started a chain of events that lead to the creation of “Alienstock”. A quick
explanation of “Alienstock” would be a music festival inspired by the Area 51 Raid. It lacked
much preparation and planning, so they decided to change it to the Area 51 Celebration. This is
a free event that is located at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. Many believe that the
outcome will be horrendous. If you have heard of the “Fyrefest” festival, it was a huge scandal

that occurred in May of 2017. Many people around the world bought tickets to attend this
festival and were disappointed to figure out it was not all that it seemed. Social media users and
others around the country believe that the Area 51 Celebration will just end up being a
FYREFEST 2.0.
