You all probably watched the Oscars, as its viewership went up significantly this year, but if you didn’t, here are all the deets. The idea of not having a host seemed innocuous, and low-and-behold, it was. In my opinion, it made it a little bit more boring, but it certainly wasn’t distracting or even really noticeable. The opening performance was a great start, but to me it seemed odd the Academy had Adam Lambert sing Queen songs with Queen as backup when none of those songs were nominated, and didn’t perform all the nominated songs as they usually do every year. With that commentary out of the way, let’s head to the good part: the winners. There weren’t any real upsets except many people thought Roma would win Best Picture over Green Book. In my personal opinion, the only win which rubbed me the wrong way was Black Panther winning Production Design, when most of its setting was CGI. Anyways, you don’t care about what I think, here are the winners for you to make your own decisions about:
