Unfortunately, Wednesday night, Ruth Bader Ginsburg fell in her office fracturing three ribs. The next morning, she was admitted to a hospital for examinations and treatments.

If you don’t know who Ruth Bader Ginsburg is, you should. She is the second female judge to serve on Supreme Court, appointed by Bill Clinton in 1993. Extremely popular among liberals and young people, RBG serves as a democratic, liberal heroine in the ring of the Conservative majority Supreme Court, often blocking extremely conservative actions, especially in the recent years. Additionally, she advocates for women’s rights and works against gender discrimination. Her legacy is ongoing and her name is known everywhere.

While I’m sure everyone hopes RBG heals soon as fellow humans, Liberals and Democrats might be concerned that RBG may retire after her injuries. While it seems unlikely that she would do this, this leaves the door open for President Trump to appoint an extremist conservative judge, now that the Republicans have the Senate on their side. This would give Republicans an extremely easy route to pass their agendas, passing laws through both the Supreme Court and the President with no issues.

Regardless of how you feel politically, I think we can all come to a consensus of hoping that Ruth Bader Ginsburg gets better soon!
