BTS Renewed Their Contract for Another 7 years

BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, just recently renewed their contract with BigHit
Entertainment for another 7 years. BTS recently began winning awards on American award
shows such as Teen Choice Award, Billboard Music Award, Radio Disney, Kids’ Choice Award,
and iHeart Radio awards. Receiving these awards gained several new fans for them, leading to
them performing in large arenas like New York’s Citi Field Stadium. Their upcoming comeback
(release of new music) will be their last comeback for the next several years and the upcoming
year of concerts will also be their last as a group for a couple years. In South Korea men have to
join the army between the ages of 18 and 35 and have to serve for 21-24 months. Meaning
each member will have to leave at some point to serve in the military. The extension on their
contract is a big deal because it means we may have more comebacks after each member
returns from the military.
