Belcalis Almanzar known as Cardi B, who recently soar to the top of Billboard’s Hot chart with her hit single “Bodak Yellow”, broke her silence on September 26th about an unfriendly experience she had with New York Police a week before she came of the show. As SPIN reports, the rapper posted a now-deleted tweet last week saying that an officer put her in a chokehold which said “I can’t believe this NY cop don’t know how to do they job F*** 12.” Cardi B discussed while sitting down with Miami’s 99 Jamz the experience saying she didn’t want to share the details from the incident because she feared backlash and it would distract from her billboard success. Admitting that the situation really messed with her she decided to break down the traumatizing events. She and her cousin were stuck in traffic when they got into an altercation was cut short when officer came “out of now where” and “put me in a chokehold with my hand on my back like a chicken wing. I couldn’t breath” she said. “And I couldn’t believe it because here’s two men that are about to square up, but you’re so ***** you won’t even hold back the men, you’re gonna put the female in a chokehold.” The NYPD have issued a statement of their own in saying they have “no record or any other information to support the validity of claim.” Cardi B a knowledge the NYPD’s comments, saying there would not be a formal claim sine neither she nor her cousin made one. “You guys be lying, and this is why I don’t talk to you guys,” she said of the police,later adding, “it really hurt me.”
