Screen Shot 2015-01-29 at 10.33.57 AM Elvis Presley, the most popular singer in history, has two planes on display at Graceland, the Lisa Marie and the Hound Dog II. Graceland asked the owner of the jets, K.G. Coker, to remove the 1960 Convair 880 and smaller Lockheed Jetstar (Hound Dog II) from the property by early 2015. The two private jets are now for sale on an aviation classified website amid their owner’s ongoing feud with the The King’s estate.

These famous airplanes are up for auction because Elvis Presley Enterprises announced plans to build a 450-room hotel, theater, and restaurant expected to open in 2015.

Presley bought the Lisa Marie in 1975 for $250,000. He spent $300,000 more on repairs and other upgrades. It has an area for sleeping, a conference room for meetings, a bar, and gold bathroom fixtures. Elvis bought the Hound Dog II while waiting for the Lisa Marie to be finished.

Julien’s Auctions is baseScreen Shot 2015-01-29 at 10.32.01 AMd in Beverley Hills, California. Officials with the company say they expect the planes to sell for $10 million and $15 million respectively.

Fans erupted in protest after hearing about the planes being removed, forcing Priscilla Presley, Elvis’s ex-wife, to respond on Twitter. She tweeted to fans “I see your posts about the planes. Please calm down, we’re in the midst of negotiations. It’s as simple as that. Thank you.”

So if you are a big Elvis fan with money to burn, the auction is open until February 2nd, 2015.
