Throughout the history of cinema, few films have been as celebrated as those of the Star Wars franchise. Since director George Lucas introduced the world to “a galaxy far, far away” in 1977, the epic space saga has captured both the imagination and hearts of millions. Since the release of Revenge of the Sith, the supposed final chapter in the Star Wars saga, in 2005, many fans have hoped for the franchise’s return to the silver screen. In a move that stunned millions, Disney purchased Lucasfilm, the studio that produced the films, along with the rights to the Star Wars franchise in 2012, and immediately announced its intention of continuing the franchise. Now, with the filming complete, the first trailer has finally surfaced.
With Star Wars fans around the globe now foaming at the mouth in excitement of the upcoming film, titled The Force Awakens, people are now beginning to dig for information about the upcoming film.

Other than the fact that the events depicted in The Force Awakens take place approximately 30 years after Return of the Jedi, very little information has been divulged to the public concerning the film’s plot. While many fans hunger for much awaited clues to the storyline of the film, the lack of information might end up aiding in the film’s success. Most moviegoers do not want to be informed of key plots in a film which they plan on seeing. By keeping information about the film under lock, while occasionally letting a minor rumor slip into circulation, Disney successfully manages to keep the world’s obsession with the film ablaze.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is set to open in theaters on December 18, 2015 and has already caused millions of individuals to rekindle their love with the Star Wars saga. Despite the film’s release date set to occur over a year from now, the world will attempt to wait out the clock as it prepares to once again prepares to enter “a galaxy far, far away.”
