Continuing the list of game reviews comes Bioshock Infinite. Infinite is the third installment of the Bioshock series. It was developed by Irrational Games and then published by 2K Games. 2K games had also released other major titles such as the Grand Theft Auto series, L.A. Noire, and Red Dead Redemption. It was released for all systems in March 2013. It has the same feel and theme of gameplay as a first person shooter, such as the prior games in the series.
What makes this installment so special is the realistic environment created by the creative director Ken Levine and his team. Ken and his team took time to make this game the best of the series. The game plot is historical fiction and is set in the early 1900’s. During the Year 1912, you play as an ex Pinkerton detective named Booker Dewitt. Trying to settle his debts, he goes on a mission to find a girl named Elizabeth.
As the player, you will go through several trials as you try to find one girl. DLCs (Downloadable Content) for the game has been released. Two DLCs in specific, such as the two episodes of the Burial at Sea, DLC allow you to play as the lost girl.
IGN, which is a well-known gaming review website, has written a review of Infinite. They rated it a 9.4/10. The site’s review goes on to talk more in depth about the story and how the AI (Artificial Intelligence) has changed in game. Warning, if you read the IGN review, there will be spoilers.
